Are you getting ready?

There is only one week until the closing day for Quilt Exhibition entries.  Completed forms are due by August 17th.
Please make everything run smoothly for Julie by checking that everything on the Conditions of Entry list is completed.  Here is a copy to help you check.


5th & 6th October, 2013
Conditions of entry
  1. Categories are: 1. Large Quilts, 2. Miniature, 3. Small Quilts, 4.Challenge, 5. U18/Youth Quilt, 6. Art Quilts, 7. Bags (display only)
    Miniature quilt – has a maximum length of any one side of 16 inches. Small Quilt – quilts up to 45 inches square and larger than a miniature.
  2. A maximum of 3 items as listed in Point 1 may be submitted. Only one quilt and one mystery challenge per person are guaranteed to be displayed. A maximum of 3 bags for display only as listed in point 1 may be submitted.
  3. A separate entry form is necessary for each item, first choice to be clearly marked. Entries without correctly completed entry forms cannot be accepted. Mystery challenge and display articles require a separate entry form.
  4. Items submitted must not have been shown previously in any North of the Yarra Quilters Exhibition.
  5. A non-refundable entry fee of $5 for the 1st entry and $10 for 2 plus, (total of $10 for multiple entries). Cheques should be made payable to North of the Yarra Quilters Guild Inc. Mystery challenge and bags (for display) are free entry.
  6. All entries require a standard 10 x 15cm (4”x6”) colour photograph to accompany each entry form (work in progress is acceptable), with the following information on the back:
    Name
    Address
    Phone number
    Name of Quilt
    Size of quilt (in inches) Indication of top of quilt

    Entries will not be accepted without photograph and information. All photos must be commercially printed.
7. Professionally machine quilted quilts must be acknowledged on the entry form.
Details of the machine quilter must be provided.
  1. Entry forms, photographs and entry fees are to be submitted by 15th August 2013 to North of the Yarra Quilters Guild Inc, PO Box 754, Eltham 3095. Late entries will not be accepted.
  2. Quilts will need a rod pocket (4 inches) minimum deep for hanging and a CLOTH LABEL stitched to the back of the quilt, showing name of quilt, name, address and phone number of quilt owner.
  3. Each article must be delivered to the venue in a separate, roomy cloth bag, with a CLOTH LABEL stitched to the outside of the bag showing name of quilt, name, address, phone no of quilt owner.
