Under Construction
Hi folks,
We're in the process of giving this blog a bit of a facelift, hopefully there will be a new and improved website up and running soon...
In the meantime you can still find us meeting every Thursday at the Diamond Creek Senior Citizens Centre for sewing, socialising and a nice cup of tea :)

A Blogger needed
I've really enjoyed my time writing the NOTYQ blog and hope you have enjoyed my posts. Unfortunately I am suffering from some serious health issues. This has meant I have resigned from the NOTYQ Committee of Management and will no longer be writing the blog or the NOTYQ Facebook page. I'll try to make it to NOTY when my health permits and look forward to catching up with all my lovely NOTYQ friends soon
Love
Melody.
PS You can catch up with me at my personal blog The House on the Side of the Hill. Hopefully you will drop by and say hello.

OCTOBER GUILD MEETING - SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER
TRADING TABLES
A big thank you to Pam for organising our guild meeting speakers for the last couple of years. I’ve taken over the job and will strive to make the speakers and events as much fun and as informative as possible. The October meeting will continue our long established tradition of trading tables.
Please let me know by October 12th if you would like to book a trading table for our October Guild Meeting. Priority will be given to NOTYQ members but if there are spaces left we will make them available to others with priority given to groups raising funds for other non profit groups. Cost 10% of sales
Please remember YOU MUST BOOK YOUR TABLE
Please email Melody at melodymatilda@gmail.com or send me a text message to 0433 565 936 to book.
ILLUMINTION SOLAR
Jackie very kindly arranged for Illumination Solar to visit for the October Meeting and I, for one, think their solar lights and chargers will make great Christmas presents for some of my family members who are tricky to buy for.
You can read about their products at http://www.illumination.solar/
B & S MOBILE SHARPENING will also be visiting.
Have all those blunt knives, scissors, chisels, plane blades, secateurs, hedge clippers, axes, pinking shears, overlocker blades etc, (sorry, no saws),sharpened for the special price of $5.00 per item. All work guaranteed.
Your items to be sharpened, plus THE CORRECT MONEY, must be wrapped in a plastic bag and
left in the box at the sign in table at 10.00am or given to Melody, Marg or Anita on Thursday 15th.
If you can’t make it on the 15th, or at 10.00am on the Saturday 17th, please give them to a friend
to deliver. Please make sure each individual item has your name and phone number.
A Display
When Leanne Beasley visited we had a display of members’ versions of her projects and many members said they really enjoyed this aspect of the day so I plan to introduce something like this at each guild meeting. So for our October Meeting PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR FAVOURITE PIN CUSHION (limit of three per member). They can be made by you, a gift or even purchased...just make sure your name is pinned to the bottom so every little treasure goes home with right person.
The November theme will be BAGS and the December theme CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS.
The next Social Media Giveaway prize will be drawn at the guild meeting too. Would you like to enter? Just leave a comment on our blog
